This may have been my busiest week in D.C. so far this year! Click here for photos from the week.
On Thursday I supported a joint budget resolution that promotes fairness for hardworking families and gives opportunity to job creators across our district. This week marks the first time Congress has adopted a budget resolution in five years.
Five years!
The House-Senate budget plan is a vision for our federal spending. It balances our federal budget in 10 years without raising taxes. It also makes it easier for Congress to repeal Obamacare in the months ahead.
You should be able to keep more of your hard earned money and rely on a healthcare system that actually works! We should all have opportunities for employment within our communities and the peace of mind that comes with knowing that our military has the resources it needs to defeat threats at home and overseas.
This budget plan makes these things possible.
We have made a promise to our children that we are serious about not leaving them responsible for paying for our legacy of debt. Oklahomans have to make hard choices and sacrifices in order to balance their budgets, and Congress is finally starting to do the same.
