    San Jose is a city in southern California that is powered in part by a large electrical sub-station a few miles south of the metropolitan area. There are very few people in San Jose that have a generator to provide power should something happen to interrupt the flow of electricity to the thousands of citizens that live in the city. After all, they never had to worry. They never caused anyone problems or participated in demonstrations against the establishment. They enjoyed life and shopped, went to school, spent warm days in parks and lived the good life that southern California has offered for many years.

April 16, 2013 started as any other day in San Jose. It was a warm spring Tuesday and the people carried on as they always have making a living and talking about the weather, until approximately 1:00 AM.

At that time the sub-station was attacked by a group of armed people. For nineteen minutes the quiet night was shattered with gunfire. Hundreds of rounds were fired but no one heard them because the sub-station was not guarded. There was no security anywhere close. After the gunfire there were seventeen transformers damaged to the point they could not function.

Luckily, miles away, someone on duty at a power company site noticed the sub-station was dropping voltage. He was able to re-route the grid to cover the loss. But what would have happened if he had missed the voltage drop. A large portion of San Jose and surrounding areas would be blanketed in darkness.

The people that carried out this attack have been called vandals by our government. They say it was not a terrorist attack, just some kids doing what bored kids do. Let’s analyze the attack:

The rounds used were 7.62x39mm. The same rounds used in an AK47 rifle. There were hundreds of brass casings lying in a number of places indicating that there were multiple shooters. The brass was polished with no fingerprints on any of them indicating the shooters had put considerable thought into the attack. There were small piles of rocks at each shooting site indicating that the shooters would have planned their sites carefully for maximum damage and accuracy. Vandalism? Egging a house is vandalism, TPing a tree is vandalism, spur of the moment acts that are done by teenagers looking for a thrill. CSI’s will tell you that when a crime is committed there is always something left to tie individuals to that crime. In the case of the sub-station shooting there was nothing, absolutely nothing.. And yet, the government still says it was vandalism.

This was a small attack using what is considered small arms. In my opinion, it was a dress rehearsal for a larger prize. What if they use .50 caliber rifles the next time, and target a nuclear facility. .50 caliber sniper rifles are accurate, with a knowledgeable shooter, out to 1500 yards and possibly more. That is close to a mile.

There is nothing a .50 caliber bullet will not damage including a Sherman tank. Given the time they had and the rounds expended with no trace of the shooters, these were terrorists, either foreign or homegrown and if they hit a nuclear facility, God help the people in close proximity.

It’s too bad this administration is more interested in raising money for the next election and pushing Obamacare than protecting the citizens and infrastructure of this great country from what it calls vandalism.

Dictatorship

The Affordable Care Act, commonly called Obamacare, was passed by congress in 2010. The Democrats controlled both houses and it passed with all of the Democrats voting for it and no Republican votes. The president signed it into law in the summer of 2010.

You may remember the infamous words of then Speaker Nancy Pelosi, “You have to pass it to find out what is in it.” So they passed it without it being read. It went into effect on October 1, 2013 with full implementation on January 1, 2014. Now we have a problem.

The law states every citizen must have health insurance or be subject to fines and other lawful charges. It is a law. 

Suddenly, when some of Obama’s friends found that it would cost them dearly for their insurance through the exchanges, they started to petition the White house for exemptions on top of the exemptions already granted to unions, congress and other cronies of this administration. Obama found himself in the role of inflicting pain where he had tried to avoid such and started to arbitrarily give delays, exemptions, and other favors to certain people and organizations. This immediately caused an unhealthy attitude towards the “law of the land” because now it is not “Equal Rights Under the Law.” In checking with the constitution I find that, after the bill was signed and became law, he cannot change it just by saying so. That is unconstitutional.

The constitution states, (Article I, section 7, para. Three,) “Every order, resolution or vote to which the concurrence of the senate and house of representatives may be necessary shall be presented to the President of the United States; and before the same shall take effect, shall be approved by him, or being disapproved by him, shall be re-passed by two thirds of the Senate and the House of Representatives according to the rules and limitations prescribed in the case of a bill”. In simple words, if it is a law, the president cannot change it on a whim. It must go back to congress for resolution.

You would think that someone who has taught constitutional law would know this. Evidently not, he has changed this law just by saying what he wants on numerous occasions. In short, he has dictated changes to a bill passed by congress and signed into law by him. This, he cannot do.

Now I must put forth the question; if he can change it just by saying to change it, how can it be LAW? Not one thing in normal procedure was followed in this debacle called Obamacare. I do not believe it is a law and cannot wait for some unhappy lawyer that wants to try a good case to start proceedings.
